Fr Paul Watkins, OP, more affectionately known by friends as “Fr Paul” has decided to step down from his responsibilities as board member and Vice President of Marketing of Lumen Civitatis. Father Paul served in this role for the first ten months of Lumen Civitatis' existence.
Father Paul will now focus more fully on his academic work as Associate Professor of Marketing at Christian Brothers University, as well as his leadership responsibilities in the Dominican Province of St Martin de Porres, for whom he serves as a member of the Provincial Council, as Superior of the Community at St Peter Catholic Church, and as Director of the National Shrine of St Martin de Porres.
“We’d like to thank Fr Paul for his contributions over the past year,” said Andrew Bowie, Founder and President of Lumen Civitatis. “While we’ll miss working regularly with Fr Paul going forward, we remain close friends and will look for opportunities to collaborate in the future. We congratulate him on the various roles to which his Dominican brothers have elected him and wish him well in all his responsibilities. We also congratulate him for his recently earned PhD. He is a gifted friar and has much to offer the Church and the city.”
